Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Philippines, an international political think tank that believes in the power of democracy and bringing politics closer to the people, launches its first-ever KAS Solutions Conference, with the theme, "Fighting Fake News, Misinformation, and Disinformation" on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the 2/F Makati Diamond Residences. The conference is apt and opportune, given the havoc that fake news, misinformation, and disinformation have wreaked on Philippine democracy, governance, politics, health, security, and so much more.
Through different breakout parallel sessions, the conference will provide the general public with the tools to fight fake news, misinformation, and disinformation, in partnership with organizations from the media, public relations, tech, and law.
Atty. Leonor "Leni" Gerona Robredo, 14th Vice President of the Philippines and Chairperson of the Angat Buhay Foundation, will be giving a Keynote Speech at the start of the conference.
This conference is free and open to the public. We will cap attendees for the entire conference at 180 persons and 40-50 persons for each breakout session. But, we can release more slots for the conference due to more demand. You must sign up for only one breakout session to attend the conference. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
